Non refundable and refundable deposit on a confirmations are very important to review as interline rates are a bit more flexible than retail. The first thing you want to ensure is to ask your agent if the deposit is refundable or non refundable to ensure your hard working funds are not sailing off into the open sea.
Example: Princess offers most of the time refundable deposits up until final payment date. Dawn, Darlene and Crestan recommend you do not pay your final until the due date by the cruise line. WHY???
Rates fluctuate and if the rate drops and you are only in deposit we may be able to refare your reservation to the lower rate. If the reservation is paid in full, no changes or price refares are possible. REMEMBER once paid in full your reservation no change of cruise fare is permitted.
Non Refundable deposits (Standard NRD)
This means your deposit is non refundable and it generally brings in a lower rate. For example:
Royal Caribbean NRD normally means non refundable deposit but they sometimes offer a change of ship and vessel for $100 CHANGE FEE per person.
ALWAYS read your confirmations completely so you understand your terms and conditions and reach out to us if you have questions or concerns.
